No.....poor drafting and asset management has lead to where we are now, nothing more, nothing less. Now you're doing it right.

Thanks Carol. You are on top of things. With Guddy out and D getting injured often I don't see JB moving a vet at TDL.

But Sbisa has upped his value this season. So losing him for nothing to Vegas could be avoided if one D is moved by TDL. Or if there is a musical chair shift of assets by teams in post season prior to draft based on position exposure.

Real difficult to find a trade partner with the room or depth to spend assets (draft or exempt players) on an acquisition they can later lose to Vegas. Some might do to gamble to deflect interest from a forward. The thinking is Vegas will take more D to use as trade chips to beef up depth prior to cutting roster for season opener.

Skating let down CoHo & never found his niche.
Burrows will power & determination is his calling card.

Yeah he peeked early. Didn't recover from back injury well enough to do power skating like Bo did to up his speed. Burrows overlooked and part late bloomer who found a way. Hutton and Tanev are classic late bloomers I would say. At junior ages they were not projected or expected to make NHL. College helped them find their game. Now Canucks have 3 forwards there that can do same. Most notably phenom BB who was more instant then slow cooked
